Position Overview:

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer / SolidWorks Designer to join our growing team. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the mechanical engineering team
  • Assist in team coordination, task assignments, and project prioritization
  • Mentor less experienced personnel
  • Contribute to team output and act as a technical leader (player/coach role)
  • Produce and review detailed designs, drawings, and models
  • Oversee the design process and progress of others

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong Mechanical Engineering background
  • Ability to perform mechanical engineering analysis (structures and parts)
  • Experience in:
  • Mechanism / machine design
  • Metal fabrication technologies (e.g., sheet metal, machining operations)
  • Design for manufacturability, time to market, and reliability
  • Detail-oriented with experience in:
  • Mechanical designs, assemblies, and 3D models
  • SolidWorks for design work
  • FEA using SimSolid and SolidWorks

  • Responsive to technical requirements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to document engineering details and processes (Word proficiency a plus)
  • Comfortable using or learning Microsoft Office tools (Word and Excel)

Preferred (But Not Required) Skills:

  • Hands-on fabrication experience
  • Automation experience
  • Electrical/controls/systems experience
  • AutoCAD experience
  • Project management experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
