About the Job:

A Design, Manufacturing and Engineering company is seeking A Mechanical Engineering Manager in charge of a high functioning team, and ensuring the organization has the technical capability, tools, and processes needed to execute electronics-based product development efficiently and predictably. Responsibilities:

Leadership:

• You will lead and manage the Mechanical Engineering department including staffing, training, and key metric management
• Provide technical supervision over all parts of mechanical process
• Coach young engineers to strengthen technical knowledge as well as performance

Planning & Development

• Support continuous improvement of mechanical engineering processes
• Work with other engineering managers on resource planning and prioritization
• Maintain systems used by the Mechanical Engineering team
• Ensure results align with quality, schedule and other objectives through coordination

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of mechanical product design/development experience; 15+ years preferred.
• 5+ years of engineering leadership experience.
• Experience designing custom plastic, as well as metal part, components and assemblies
• Strong proficiency with 3D CAD (Solidworks) and drawing practices
• Knowledge of design controls and documentation practices in regulated manufacturing environments (FDA expectations).
