Key Responsibilities:
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in diesel engines used in vehicles and construction machinery including changing of fuel pumps, water pumps, brake pads and shoes, disc drums, engine oil and filters, AC filters, coolant checks, gasket head replacement, timing belts/chains, gear systems, clutch discs, covers, and bearings.
- Expertise in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines in equipment such as Diesel Generators, Air Compressors, Tower Lights, Skid Steer Loaders, Backhoe Loaders, Telehandlers, and Excavators.
- Ability to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic systems on various equipment including HIAB cranes, Skid Steer Loaders, and Telehandlers.
- Replacement of hydraulic hoses, valves, cylinders, seals, and hydraulic pumps as required.
- Maintain hydraulic system performance by monitoring oil quality, checking for pressure loss, leakages, or overheating.
- Repair and maintenance of small diesel-powered construction tools such as Jackhammers, Cutters, Grinders, Water Jet Grinders, Saws, and other similar civil construction equipment.
- Basic knowledge in auto electrical systems, including replacement and maintenance of headlamps, tail lamps, beacon lights, signal lights, and work lights on heavy machinery and vehicles.
- Conduct preventive maintenance checks and ensure equipment readiness at all times.
- Document and report maintenance records accurately and timely.
Requirements:
- Diploma / Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 5 – 10 years of hands-on experience in maintenance and repair of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and construction machinery.
- Strong understanding of diesel mechanical systems, hydraulic circuits, and basic electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to independently diagnose faults and execute efficient repair solutions.
- Strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and ability to adapt in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with supervisors and other team members.
- Willingness to work on-site and under pressure in variable weather and operational conditions.
- Must have prior GCC experience in the construction or heavy equipment industry.
- Valid Bahrain Driving License is mandatory.
