Key Responsibilities:1. Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform mechanical maintenance of production machinery, including extruders, spinning machines, crimper, cutter, dryer, baler, compressors, pumps, blowers, chillers, and utilities.
- Diagnose mechanical faults, identify root causes, and perform timely corrective actions.
- Assist in overhauling mechanical equipment and carrying out major shutdown maintenance.
2. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules (PM) for all mechanical equipment.
- Inspect machinery for wear, lubrication issues, misalignment, or unusual vibration/noise.
- Support predictive maintenance activities such as vibration monitoring and thermography.
3. Installation & Commissioning
- Assist in installation, alignment, and commissioning of new mechanical equipment.
- Ensure correct assembly, fitting, and testing according to OEM recommendations.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain maintenance logs, job cards, and service reports.
- Report equipment abnormalities immediately to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Update spare parts consumption and ensure proper record-keeping.
5. Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all plant safety, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), and permit-to-work (PTW) procedures.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in mechanical workshops and plant areas.
- Ensure compliance with company EHS policies and statutory requirements.
Qualification & Experience:
- Education: DAE – Mechanical / Mechanical Technology
- Experience: 2–5 years of mechanical maintenance experience (preferably in Polyester Fiber, Chemical, Petrochemical, Textile, or Process Industry)
- Technical Skills:
- Good understanding of pumps, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, valves, couplings, alignment, and mechanical assemblies
- Experience in hydraulic/pneumatic systems
- Basic welding/fabrication knowledge (advantageous)
