Mechanical / Pump Technicians (Facilities Management) ISF Project

We are currently hiring 5 Mechanical Technicians for one of our prestigious Facilities Management projects at ISF. This is a 2-month contract role, extendable based on performance and project requirements, offering an excellent opportunity to work on a well-established site with professional FM operations.

Working Hours: 9 hours per day (including break)
Salary Package: QAR 2,500 + QAR 250 transportation allowance

Key Responsibilities

Operation & Maintenance

• Carry out routine inspections, preventive maintenance (PPM), and corrective maintenance (CM) of all pump systems
• Operate and maintain:
• Domestic water pumps
• Booster pumps
• Transfer pumps
• Sewage and drainage pumps
• Irrigation pumps (if applicable)
• Ensure all pumps operate efficiently and within design parameters

Troubleshooting & Repairs

• Respond promptly to emergency pump breakdowns and restore systems with minimum downtime
• Diagnose faults related to:
• Motors, bearings, seals, couplings, and impellers
• Pressure issues, vibration, abnormal noise, and leakages
• Control panels, starters, and basic electrical faults
• Perform dismantling, overhauling, alignment, and reinstallation of pumps

Monitoring & Documentation

• Record daily readings including pressure, flow, amperage, vibration, and temperature
• Maintain maintenance logs, checklists, and service reports
• Report recurring issues and recommend corrective actions or replacements

Safety & Compliance

• Follow HSE rules, method statements, and risk assessments
• Use appropriate PPE during all maintenance activities
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer recommendations and site standards
• Support audits, inspections, and NCR close-outs related to pump systems

Coordination & Support

• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and fellow technicians
• Support commissioning and testing of new pump installations
• Assist contractors and vendors during major repairs or replacements

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of centrifugal and vertical pumps
• Basic electrical knowledge (motors, starters, control panels)
• Ability to read pump drawings, schematics, and manuals
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure during emergency situations
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Qualifications & Experience

• ITI or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related trade
• 5–7 years of Gulf experience only
