Mechanical Supervisor- Manpower Supply

ROLE SUMMARY

The Mechanical Supervisor will oversee day-to-day mechanical operations at the assigned project site, managing a team of blue-collar workers. The role is responsible for workforce mobilization, attendance and timesheet management, and ensuring that all mechanical activities are carried out safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Labour supervision — Direct and supervise blue-collar workers including technicians, fitters, helpers, and labourers on a daily basis. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and maintain discipline on site.
  • Mobilization management — Plan and coordinate worker mobilization and demobilization in line with project schedules. Liaise with HR and project managers to ensure manpower is available at the right time and location.
  • Timesheet collection & verification — Collect, review, and approve daily/weekly timesheets for all site workers. Verify hours worked against actual site attendance and flag discrepancies to the project manager and HR team.
  • Attendance tracking — Maintain accurate daily attendance records including overtime, absences, and late arrivals. Submit regular workforce reports to management.
  • Mechanical operations oversight — Ensure mechanical tasks (installation, maintenance, repair) are executed per work orders, drawings, and standard operating procedures.
  • HSE compliance — Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards on site. Conduct toolbox talks, identify hazards, and ensure PPE usage among all workers.
  • Material & tool coordination — Raise material requests and ensure tools and equipment are available, serviceable, and properly used by the workforce.
  • Reporting — Prepare daily site progress reports and submit to the project manager. Escalate technical or workforce issues promptly.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 3–7 years of site supervision experience
  • Proven experience managing blue-collar / contract labour
  • Familiarity with timesheet and attendance systems
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Office / ERP reporting)

WORK CONDITIONS

  • Site-based role — presence on the project site is required during working hours
  • May require extended hours during project peaks or shutdowns
  • Rotational shifts possible depending on project requirements
  • Travel between project sites as directed by management

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
