We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Multi-Skilled Mechanical & Electrical Technician with extensive experience in the oil and gas sector and specialized expertise in hydraulic systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities on a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment across our [onshore/offshore/specific type] facilities. This role requires a proficient individual capable of working independently and as part of a team, ensuring the reliability and integrity of critical production and processing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preventative & Corrective Maintenance: Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment, adhering to established procedures and schedules.
- Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system faults, utilizing various diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Hydraulic System Expertise: Specialized maintenance, repair, and overhaul of hydraulic power units (HPUs), cylinders, actuators, valves, pumps, motors, and associated piping/tubing. Calibrate and adjust hydraulic pressures and flows.
- Mechanical Systems: Maintain, repair, and overhaul rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, generators, turbines), static equipment (vessels, heat exchangers), piping systems, and various other mechanical components.
- Electrical Systems: Install, maintain, test, and repair electrical equipment including motors, generators, switchgear, control panels, wiring, lighting systems, and associated instrumentation (transmitters, sensors, switches).
- Instrumentation & Controls: Basic troubleshooting and calibration of field instrumentation and control loops where they interface with mechanical and electrical systems.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures, permit-to-work systems, and company/industry safety standards (OSHA, API, etc.). Conduct risk assessments for all tasks.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed maintenance logs, work orders, service reports, and equipment histories using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Technical Interpretation: Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings, schematics (P&IDs, electrical, hydraulic), technical manuals, and vendor documentation.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with operations, engineering, and other maintenance personnel to ensure seamless operations and minimize downtime.
- Emergency Response: Participate in emergency response drills and activities as required.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, equipment upgrades, and cost-saving initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Diploma or Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
