The Role
We are seeking a diligent Mechanical Technician to join our team on a short-term contract (4 MONTHS) basis in Salalah, Oman. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to vital water industry projects, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of mechanical systems in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities: - Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment related to water systems. - Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime. - Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support project execution and system upgrades. - Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any deviations or faults. - Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all mechanical operations. - Assist in inventory management of mechanical tools and spare parts.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician in water or related industries. - Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, pumps, valves, and pipelines. - Ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals. - Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. - Safety-conscious with an understanding of occupational health and safety standards. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. - Willingness to work on a short-term contract basis in Salalah, Oman. - Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or a related field.
