Mechanical Tender Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Tender Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team within a leading manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality technical and commercial proposals for mechanical projects, assisting in winning tenders to drive the company's growth and success.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications for infrastructure projects.
• Prepare comprehensive cost estimations for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with internal departments (procurement, engineering, etc.) to gather data and pricing.
• Research and analyze current market rates.
• Prepare and submit competitive technical and commercial proposals.
• Suggest value engineering options to improve bid competitiveness.
• Attend clarification meetings and support negotiations as required.
• Maintain and update cost databases for future reference.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in tendering and cost estimation for infrastructure project.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of:
• Mechanical systems in infrastructure (e.g., piping, HVAC, pump stations, utility systems).
• Cost estimation methodologies (materials, labor, equipment, subcontracting).
• Value engineering and cost-saving alternatives.
