Med Tech - Assisted Living

As part of a strong clinical team, providing exceptional quality care and service to our residents is the primary responsibility of our Med Tech. Administer medications to each resident ensuring they receive the necessary care and services to attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psycho social well-being as part of a comprehensive care plan. The Med Tech works under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse and reports observations to the licensed nurse on duty; maintains clean and orderly equipment for medication administration. Reports to the Director of Wellness/ Head Nurse.

Administers routinely scheduled oral and topical medications according to physician orders

Follows all steps in administering medication: Correct resident, medication, dosage, a form of dosage, and time including following scanning procedure to ensure best practice.

Monitors and records vital signs according to physician orders and standards of practice.

Reports any unusual or unwanted medication side effects to Director of Wellness.

Maintains accurate documentation of all medications and treatments based on policy and best practices.

Performs all routine duties of a C.N.A. as required or assigned.

Duties may include resident personal services, housekeeping, laundry, social-recreational activities, delegated tasks, medication assistance, meal services, and others as needed. Provides healthcare-related oversight when the Wellness Coordinator is absent.

Promotes the Company's mission statement.
