This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, particularly for individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's, dementia, and other memory-related conditions. As a Medical Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our patients through effective medical support and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities and personal hygiene.
• Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring accurate medical documentation.
• Administer medications as prescribed and assist with tube feeding when necessary.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of medical information.
• Utilize EMR and EHR systems such as Epic and Cerner for efficient patient management.
• Assist in catheter care and other medical procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Engage with patients to provide emotional support and companionship, particularly for those in hospice or memory care settings.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety within the facility while adhering to infection control protocols.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospital settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or require specialized care (e.g., Alzheimer's, dementia).
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical documentation practices.
• Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for patient record management.
• Experience in caregiving or home/community care is a plus.
