Med Tech/Caregiver

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical practices and procedures, with a focus on providing high-quality care to patients in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home community care. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the well-being of individuals, particularly those with developmental disabilities and seniors.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patient interactions.
• Assist in the assessment of patients' health status and report any changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
• Provide compassionate care to patients, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Support daily living activities for individuals in assisted living or hospice care settings.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the facility.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is essential.
• Experience in medication administration within a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Prior experience in senior care, including nursing homes or assisted living facilities, is highly desirable.
• Understanding of hospice care practices is beneficial.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
