Media Executive

Job Summary

The Executive works as part of the Media Team in a general operations role which traverses both the planning and buying disciplines for client accounts and has primary responsibility for the day-to-day media administrative functions.


Product, Planning, and Pitching

  • To learn the basics of media planning & buying in addition to using basic tools & relevant software
  • Input media plans schedules
  • Update Client plans on Excel
  • Amend media schedules under supervision of Media Supervisor
  • Use basic software including (Statex, XPlan, Zplan, TGI, VD, Ipsos, Synthesio, Social Baker, according to each market needs)
  • Software monitoring & media evaluation studies (Readership, print, radio, digital, social media, listenership)
  • Preparing the monthly competitive reports for the clients
  • Maintain records - client data, media opportunities presented, rate cards, TV grids
  • Monitor & prepare material specification lists for production
  • Monitoring & ensuring booking instructions are dispatched Daily monitoring and reporting of advertising in different media
  • Monitor & prepare Material for dispatch
  • Be proficient at Excel and PowerPoint
  • Able to use basic formulas in Excel
  • Able to add features and designs to ppt presentations
  • Assist in basic print, outdoor, radio plan
  • Perform other operational and coordination elements that the team require
  • Check all schedules prepared by the Operations team
  • Contribute to innovation idea generation
  • Proactive media monitoring including store visits
  • Assist in new big pitches of the agency
  • Media support across all media including digital and basic understanding of digital platforms


Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • University degree in business, economics, or a related field
  • One year of media experience preferably (fresh graduates are also welcomed)
  • Must be well organized and have strong quantitative/analytical skills
  • Able to build relationship internally and externally
  • Ability to manage multi-task well in a fast-paced environment and a team player.
  • Must be numerate and have strong attention to detail
  • Passionate about building a career in media & advertising field
  • Fluent written and spoken English is a must
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
