Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, reviewing medical histories, and explaining procedures clearly
• Assist healthcare providers during patient exams and procedures, including medication administration
• Manage patient intake processes efficiently, ensuring accurate documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
• Perform basic clinical tasks including specimen collection, wound dressing changes, and medication administration.
• Maintain accurate records of patient care activities, update medical charts, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
• Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions, coordinating appointments, and facilitating smooth communication between patients and providers

Requirements

• Experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical support role within hospital or outpatient settings
• Knowledge of primary care and urgent care environments is highly desirable
• Familiarity with EHR systems and medical terminology to accurately document patient information
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required to ensure readiness for emergency situations
• Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced settings
• Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
