Medical Assistant – Podiatry Practice

We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our busy and growing podiatry practice. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a critical role in setting the tone for their experience. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to patient service are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide podiatric laser treatments for patients with foot pain and toenail fungus
• Trim toenails under the guidance of the podiatrist
• Confirm and document patient medications and allergies
• Assist with patient registration, check-in, and appointment scheduling
• Ensure all patient documentation (prior records, referrals, medication lists, lab results, and imaging) is complete and uploaded to the chart at least two days prior to appointments
• Interview patients and accurately document medical history, medications, family history, and reason for visit
• Measure and record vital signs in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Maintain medical supply inventory and perform basic preventive maintenance on clinical equipment
• Clean and disinfect exam rooms, tables, beds, and equipment between patients and at the end of each day
• Protect patient privacy by maintaining accurate, confidential medical records and supporting diagnostic and procedure coding as needed
• Support physicians, the practice administrator, and office coordinator with additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience with EHR/EMR systems (required)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
• Comfortable with technology and adaptable to new systems and tools
• Dependable, honest, and compassionate with a strong work ethic
• Professional appearance and demeanor

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
