Orenco Family Medicine is a new private practice open in Hillsboro, serving Oregonians of all ages. From unexpected illnesses to preventative medicine, our professional team of board-certified physicians, PAs, NPs, and technicians offer quality care.

We are searching for a Medical Assistant who is dedicated, team oriented, patient-centered and looking for an opportunity to grow your skills and and make a difference in the lives of our patients. Our Medical Assistants play a crucial role in the daily patient flow. You will be assisting with rooming patients, taking vitals, providing various types of medical care, and communications on behalf of the provider.

Under direct supervision, you will assist physicians with patient care duties in a clinical environment. Promote efficient patient flow and patient care. Perform clinic support tasks including miscellaneous clerical tasks, answering phones, and maintaining physician’s schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Escorts patients to and from exam rooms.
  • Records patient data prior to each physician visit, including but not limited to, vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
  • Obtains all necessary patient records as required by physician prior to treatment or procedures.
  • Assists physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
  • Administers subcutaneous and intramuscular injections.
  • Perform phlebotomy.
  • Perform EKG's and place heart monitors.
  • Maintains all exam/treatment room disinfection protocols.
  • Processes instruments and equipment as needed.
  • Answers patient telephone calls
  • Phones in prescriptions and makes other patient calls as required or directed by physicians.
  • Schedules patient tests, procedures and hospital admissions and schedules appointments to follow-up on test results, as applicable.
  • Obtains new patient records and previous test results, x-rays, scans, etc.
  • Prepares and stocks exam/treatment rooms and orders supplies as needed.

Qualifications

Experience/Training:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant, preferred but not required.

Education:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants preferred but not required.
  • COVID vaccination.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
