Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, taking vital signs, including collecting medical histories and updating electronic health records (EHR systems)
• Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates with precision
• Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort
• Conduct diagnostic tasks such as specimen collection, basic anatomy and physiology assessments, and assisting with in office procedures
• Ensure compliance with infection control standards and assist in maintaining a clean, organized clinical environment

Skills

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care best practices across family practice, diabetes care, physical exams, and dermatology procedures
• Proficiency with EHR systems and familiarity with ICD coding for accurate documentation
• Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations across outpatient settings
• Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced environments
