Medical Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing quality patient care and supporting our medical staff in various clinical settings. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Administer medications as directed by physicians and ensure proper documentation.
• Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and obtaining medical histories.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic or hospital environment.
• Support inpatient care in areas such as PICU or medical-surgical units as needed.
• Collaborate with internal medicine teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Assist in the operating room (OR) during surgical procedures when required.
• Provide education to patients regarding their health conditions and treatment plans.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy and basic life support (BLS) techniques is essential.
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols and inpatient care practices.
• Experience in a clinical setting, particularly within internal medicine or surgical environments, is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.42 per hour
