Medical Assistant

Job Summary
We are growing! We are looking to grow our team with our new expansion. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing exceptional patient care, assisting with medical procedures, and supporting administrative functions within a fast-paced medical environment. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality healthcare delivery.

Duties

• Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms
• Measure and record vital signs accurately
• Assist with patient examinations and procedures
• Support medication administration under supervision and assist with basic life support when necessary
• Operate EHR systems efficiently for documentation and appointment scheduling
• Assist with ICD coding, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology documentation for billing and record-keeping
• Prepare patients for diagnostic tests such as X-ray or other imaging procedures
• Support patient service activities including answering questions, providing instructions, and ensuring comfort
• Venipuncture for blood draw
• Injections
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas in compliance with safety standards
• Prior Authorizations

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in outpatient setting
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration
• Familiarity with EHR systems and medical-surgical procedures
• Ability to perform clinical duties such as taking vital signs, assisting with X-ray procedures, and supporting patient care activities
• Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
