Medical Assistant – Gynecology Private Practice John Labban, M.D., PC – Women's Health

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support clinical operations in our gynecology private practice. This is a paid, full-time position offering the opportunity to work closely with patients and clinical staff in a focused, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient intake, including collecting medical histories, verifying insurance information, and updating electronic health records (EHR)
• Measure and record vital signs accurately (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration)
• Contact patients with lab results
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
• Assist clinical staff with procedures, including medication administration under physician supervision
• Maintain accurate medical documentation using ICD coding
• Perform routine clinical tasks including specimen collection
• Obtain prior authorizations for medications and hospital procedures
• Schedule hospital surgeries and coordinate related logistics
• Complete FMLA and other administrative forms as directed

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred
• Familiarity with EHR systems and ICD coding
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Professional, compassionate approach to patient interaction
