Medical Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support within our facility. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient service, and the ability to work effectively in both front office and back-office settings. Experience in podiatry or orthopedics is highly desirable.

Duties

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Perform intake assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting patient history.
• Administer medications as directed by physicians and ensure proper documentation.
• Utilize EHR systems for accurate patient record management.
• Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries and ensuring a comfortable environment.
• Support the healthcare team in various clinical tasks, including ICD coding and understanding anatomy and physiology.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical area.
• Collaborate with other medical and clerical staff to ensure compliance.
• Assist with X-ray procedures as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role in a clinical setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding is essential.
• Familiarity with EHR systems for efficient patient management.
• Experience in podiatry, orthopedics, is preferred.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.
• Previous experience in front and back-office duties is a plus.
