Medical Assistant

Medco Healthcare Medical Group is a primary care practice that provides care exclusively via house calls throughout the Southern California Region (LA, Orange County, San Diego and Inland Empire). We are looking for an experienced individual for our house call office, where he/she can use their expertise with communicating to patients, scheduling appointments and visiting patients in their house if/when required.

Responsibilities

• Must speak English and Spanish
• Communication with Home Health and other Doctors offices
• Scheduling patients' appointments for in house visits
• Documentating/Processing Orders
• Work in collaboration with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to provide the best care for patients
• Tracking and reporting of key data points
• Participate in training/retraining and continuing education programs as needed
• Comply with all designated safety policies and procedures in the work area, including the use of applicable protective equipment when necessary to prevent exposure to potentially infectious agents
• Understand and comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and company policies
• Adheres to quality assurance procedures
• Maintain all HIPAA standards
• Performs other related duties as necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 per week

Experience:

• EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
• Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
