Our office is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our amazing providers. During the interview process, we will be looking for applicants with experience working with doctors, medical terminology and a strong interest in helping others. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient and accurate intake of patients.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Admit patients to exam rooms.

2. Ensure proper medical documentation, medications, progress notes, lab results, vital signs and medical history.

3. Identify patient’s chief complaint or reason for visit

4. Prepare patient for doctor, order exams as directed and assist doctor as needed

5. Perform splinting, bracing, casting; dressing, wound care and removal of sutures/staples as needed

6. Super Bill and complete charting

7. Prepare instruments for injections and aspirations

8. Patient call backs, prescription calls, patient education of procedures and testing, patient notification of lab/test results when requested

Clean and stock examination rooms

1. Responsible for promoting the Standards of Excellence for Orthopedic Specialists while demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior toward patients, visitors, peers and physicians.

2. Maintain a neat and orderly work environment, demonstrates the ability to organize and prioritize work during heavy workload situations to expedite patient care.

3. Maintain strictest confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA compliance.

4. Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.

5. Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.

6. Work independently while understanding the need to communicate and coordinate work efforts with other employees and organizations.

Preferred But Not Required:

1-2 Years+ Medical Assisting, Spanish/Bilingual

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $29.00 per hour
