Medical Assistant

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Escorting patients to Exam rooms
- Screen patients and enter relevant information including medications and allergies
into our EMR
- Assist physician in room as needed; Liaison between physician and patient
- FIt and dispense Durable Medical Equipment & Diabetic shoes
- Obtain insurance benefits coverage information
- Scan patients for Orthotics, perform X-rays
- Perform inventory, order medical supplies and restock rooms as needed
- Sterilize equipment, create gauze packets and sanitize examination rooms
- FIll out lab requisitions and coordinate with labs as needed
- Cross Coverage for front and back office and other offices as needed
- Ability to work on Saturdays
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma - Required
Medical Assistant certificate - preferred but N/A
Qualifications and Skills:
Excellent communication skills - both oral and written
Positive attitude and a patient centric approach
Ability to multi-task and work well in a team environment
Diligent, reliable and professional
