Medical Assistant

medical assistant needed for busy pediatric office with experience required

Clinical Duties (may include, but not limited to):

• Taking medical histories
• Vital and room patients
• Translate as necessary
• Explaining treatment procedures to patients
• Preparing patients for examination
• Assisting the physician during exams
• Instructing patients about medication and special diets
• Preparing and administer immunizations
• Keep inventory of immunizations refrigerator temperatures
• Experience in Texas Immunizations and ordering them
• Follow prescription refill protocol
• Acquiring medical records from previous physician, hospital visit, labs, specialist, etc
• Ensuring medical records, labs, imaging, referrals are completed as per patients chart before next scheduled appt.
• Clean rooms, beds and restock as needed
• Keep inventory of supplies and inform management when needs replenishment

Must be bilingual

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $9.00 - $12.00 per hour
