Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and comfortable working in a specialty neurology practice that may occasionally require flexibility across clinical and front-office roles.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and current medication lists prior to provider visits
• Communicate with patients regarding appointments, test results, and care instructions in a clear and professional manner
• Process prior authorizations for medications and procedures
• Assist with in-office procedures as directed by the provider
• Provide coverage of the front desk and receptionist duties as needed, including scheduling and patient check-in
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Support overall clinic flow and collaborate with team members to ensure a positive patient experience

Qualifications

• MA certification preferred; candidates with equivalent clinical experience will be considered
• Prior experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred
• Familiarity with prior authorization processes is a plus
• Proficiency with electronic health records; experience in a specialty practice is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
