Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant (MA) - Brooklyn, NY | Contract | $30-$32/hr

If you’re a Medical Assistant who can confidently handle blood draws without hesitation, this one is for you. We’re looking for someone sharp, reliable, and recently hands-on with venipuncture to step into a busy clinical setting and keep things moving.

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Pay: $30 - $32/hr (contract)

What you’ll be doing (the core of it):

• Own your lane with venipuncture + finger sticks — draw, label, prep, and process specimens correctly every time
• Take and document vitals (BP, pulse, temp, height, weight) cleanly in the EMR
• Run EKGs and routine tests (glucose, INR, dipstick)
• Manage lab workflow — order tests, track results, prep for pickup, flag issues to providers
• Keep exam rooms stocked, organized, and ready for the next patient
• Support providers during exams and assist patients with movement, transport, and basic ADLs when needed

What matters here:

• Recent, strong blood draw experience (non-negotiable)
• Comfortable working with an adult/elderly population
• You’re detail-oriented — labeling, matching, processing specimens is second nature
• You understand infection control and don’t cut corners
• Team player — you step in where needed without being asked twice

What you bring:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Medical Assistant Certification ( must be certified Phlebotomist) ; EKG
• 1+ year of hands-on venipuncture experience
• Solid EMR/computer skills
• Calm, professional, and patient-focused approach

This is a steady weekday schedule, solid pay, and a team that needs someone who can walk in and contribute immediately.
