Medical Assistant – Urgent Care

StatMed Urgent Care is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced team. We provide quality medical care to patients of all ages and acuity levels and are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual who thrives in a busy clinical environment.

The ideal candidate is efficient, confident, able to multitask, and possesses excellent patient communication and customer service skills. We are looking for someone with initiative who is eager to learn, grow, and build a long-term career in healthcare.

Schedule

• Part-time
• two to three 6-hour shifts per week
• Some Saturdays and Sundays required

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and obtain vital signs
• Perform venipuncture and blood draws
• Perform EKGs
• Apply splints and dressings
• Set up and assist providers with procedures
• Assist with patient care and clinical workflow
• Learn and perform in-house laboratory testing
• Learn and perform IV placement and additional clinical skills

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant experience required
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities

Preferred Experience

• Urgent Care, Emergency Room, Family Practice, or Primary Care experience
• Venipuncture and EKG experience
