Medical Assistant

Gallatin Family Practice seeks Experienced Full-Time Medical Assistant candidate. We need someone who is a quick learner, a hard worker, has excellent attendance, and superb customer service skills. Punctuality is also of the utmost importance.

Strictly no smoking environment.

The candidate must have the ability to:

• maintain friendly, cordial relations with all patients and employees
• maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that results in a positive work relationship with patients, co-workers and providers.
• maintain behavior that is compliant with Federal and State regulations, guidelines, and requirements including working knowledge of all health information management issues such as HIPAA.
• be computer savvy and able to use electronic medical records software easily.

Duties would include

• giving injections and vaccinations
• taking vitals
• helping providers with medical procedures
• prior authorizations
• triage calls

Experience Requirements and Preferences:

• At least two years of medical assistant experience required
• Medical assistant degree required
• Experience with eClinicalWorks preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently and with the public in a high-pressure environment.
• Covid-19 vaccination required
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is an asset but is not required.
