Medical Assistant/Receptionist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This vital role combines front-office administrative support with clinical assistance, ensuring smooth patient flow and exceptional care delivery. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a positive patient experience. You will perform a variety of duties including patient intake, vital signs collection, medical documentation, and basic clinical procedures across outpatient and inpatient settings. Experience working in a medical office (front and back office) is a plus.

Duties

• Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage check-in/check-out processes using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
• Collect patient information, update medical histories, and verify insurance details accurately
• Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to assist clinicians in diagnosis and treatment planning
• Support physicians during examinations by preparing supplies and documenting clinical notes with precision
• Manage appointment scheduling, follow-up reminders, and patient inquiries to ensure seamless clinic operations
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations and hospital policies

Qualifications

• Prior experience in working in a medical office is preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation and data entry
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as X-ray tech or medication administration are advantageous
• Strong patient service skills with the ability to handle intake procedures efficiently and compassionately
• Ability to perform vital signs collection accurately and assist with clinical procedures in outpatient or inpatient environments/
• Bilingual in both Spanish and English.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
