Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and facilitate smooth check-in and check-out processes using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Collect vital signs, medical histories, and current medications during patient intake to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure all supplies are stocked for efficient clinic flow.
- Document patient encounters accurately using medical terminology, ICD coding, and detailed notes to ensure compliance and quality care.
- Coordinate appointment scheduling, follow-up communications, and manage patient inquiries with excellent customer service skills.
- Experience completing prior-authorizations, Covermymeds, a plus.
Requirements
- Prior experience in neurology or other specialty medicine is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, ICD coding, and medication administration is essential for success in this role.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as X-ray operation or Level I/II trauma center experience are a plus.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and medical administrative support practices is necessary for efficient workflow management.
- Ability to perform clinical duties involving intake assessments, vital signs collection, anatomy knowledge, and emergency medicine procedures confidently.
