Our compassionate, patient-centered team is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join us full-time.
Job Summary:
As a Medical Assistant/Receptionist, you will play a key role in assisting patients throughout their treatment process, ensuring safety, comfort, and adherence to clinical protocols. This position is ideal for someone passionate about mental health and interested in working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors as they arrive in office
- Perform patient check in/check out procedures
- Answer phones and forward calls to appropriate extension
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Insurance verification (as needed)
- Ensure office is tidy and presentable
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries
- Accurately input patient data with high attention to detail
- Collaborate with other staff members
- Maintain all records in accordance with HIPAA requirements as well as internal confidentiality requirement
- Assist with patient intake, including vital signs and documentation
- Monitor patients during Spravato treatments under medical supervision
- Track patient progress and side effects according to REMS protocol
- Maintain accurate medical records and assist with charting
- Provide support to medical staff and ensure smooth daily operations
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the treatment process
- Other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (preferred)
- Previous experience in mental health/psychiatric is ideal but not mandatory
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication, observation, and documentation skills
- Compassionate, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with Spravato or esketamine treatment protocols is a strong plus (training provided if needed)
Pay: $21 - $24 per hour, commensurate with applicable experience
