Medical Assistant/Sales

Seeking a full time medical assistant with a sales focus to provide clinical support while actively promoting and selling weight loss programs, supplements, products and services to patients. Sales are education based and requires learning about all that the clinic has to offer in detail in order to successful present options to patients. Time dedicated to individual research and education is required to be successful in this position.

Sales and Consulting: Educate patients on weight loss programs, supplements, products and services. The intent is to make sure the patient is well educated about what we have to offer them in addition to all FDA approved medications for weight loss.

Clinical Duties: Perform weight and vital checks on patients, administer injections, record patient body composition results and other required patient records. Having experience with prior authorization is a huge plus, but the successful candidate will be willing and able to be trained in this area in order to best serve our patients. Having experience in phlebotomy is a plus.

Patient Education: Offer guidance on nutrition and lifestyle changes, as well as education on insurance related issues regarding prior authorizations.

Administration & Support: Manage front desk duties, checking patients in an out, answering phones, scheduling appointments, answering messages, social media support, filing charts, and processing payments.

Inventory & Compliance: Assure inventory levels of products and supplies are properly monitored and restocked. Willingness to comply with daily clean up activities including vacuuming and other light housekeeping duties consistent with any small businesses.

Experience: Clinical experience (phlebotomy) and prior experience in sales and customer service is a huge plus.

Knowledge: Understanding of nutrition, exercise and insurance verification is a plus.

Work environment: This role involves working in fast paced specialized medical weight loss clinic. Attitude and personality are the most important characteristics a candidate can offer, as we are willing to properly train the right candidate with any additional required knowledge. We put our patients first and strive to never let a patient leave feeling upset or unsatisfied with our products and services. Being a self starter, staying busy, looking for things in the clinic that need to be done as part of a group effort is very important. Having a shared mentality on this aspect of the job is very important to our culture at The Weight Clinic. We rely on patient referrals and reviews more than advertising to acquire new business. Having the ability to successfully educate our patients on the products and services we offer in order for them to fully understand their options is a very important aspect to this position.

Compensation:

Hourly pay based on experience and skills will be negotiated

Sales bonuses based on performance available

Pay raises available as sales excel and skills/knowledge are obtained.

Our business hours are Monday/ Wednesday/Thursday/Friday 9:00 - 4:00, Tuesday 9:00 - 6:00 and Saturday 8:00 -12:00. The successful candidate must be available to work during these times and be available to work on Saturday.
