Medical biller + Medical Receptionist Dual role

Responsibilities:

- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Verify patient insurance information (medicare only) and collect necessary co-pays or payments

- Submit Medicare claims through either office ally or claim.md (clearinghouse experience is highly desirable)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic medical record systems such as Cerbo

- Manage medical records, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations
- When physically present in the office : Greet and check-in/checkout patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Perform general administrative tasks such as data entry, faxing, and copying

- Protecting patient privacy and confidentiality (HIPAA)

Skills:
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems ( we use cerbo which is user-friendly)
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and terminology
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining patient records
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with healthcare professionals
- Experience working in a dental office or medical office setting is preferred

- Experience with submitting medical claims preferred or at least general familiarity with what CPT codes and ICD-10 codes are.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
