Medical Billing Auditor

A Medical Billing Auditor is responsible for reviewing medical billing processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper reimbursement. They identify errors, prevent revenue loss, and ensure adherence to healthcare regulations.

Job Description:

• Review and audit medical claims for accuracy and completeness
• Verify CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding compliance
• Identify billing errors, fraud risks, or revenue leakage
• Ensure compliance with payer guidelines and healthcare regulations
• Analyze denied or rejected claims and suggest corrective actions
• Provide feedback and training to billing teams
• Prepare audit reports and maintain documentation

Qualification:

• Strong knowledge of medical billing and coding systems
• Familiarity with insurance guidelines (Medicare/Medicaid, commercial payers)
• Attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Experience with billing software and EHR systems
• Good communication and reporting skills
