Location: Katy, Texas – On-site

Compensation: $19.00 – $22.00 / hour (Based on Experience)

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to support our medical, dental, and behavioral health billing operations. In this role, you will be the backbone of our revenue cycle, ensuring accuracy in claims submission, payment posting, and denial resolution.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at navigating complex Medicaid/Medicare regulations, and takes pride in maintaining a clean AR aging report.

Key Responsibilities

• Claims Management: Prepare and submit accurate medical, dental, and behavioral health claims; appeal and resubmit denied/rejected claims.
• Financial Integrity: Post insurance and patient payments, process adjustments/refunds, and maintain precise accounts receivable records.
• AR Oversight: Proactively monitor AR aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP, and HIPAA regulations.
• Reporting: Generate billing reports and identify systemic issues impacting reimbursement to share with management.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on medical billing experience.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical Knowledge: Proficient in ICD, CPT, CDT, and HCPCS coding.
• Payer Expertise: Direct experience with claims submission for Medicaid, Medicare, and managed care.
• Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and practice management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within an FQHC environment.
• Direct experience using eClinicalWorks (eCW) .
• History of managing high-volume claim environments.
