We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Billing Manager to oversee and manage the billing department. The successful candidate will ensure accurate and timely submission of medical claims, manage a team of billing specialists, and work closely with other departments to optimize revenue cycle processes. The Medical Billing Manager will play a crucial role in maximizing revenue, minimizing errors, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of medical billing specialists.
• Conduct regular team meetings to review performance, provide updates, and offer training.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve billing processes and team efficiency.

Billing Operations:

• Oversee the entire billing process from charge capture to payment posting.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of medical claims to insurance companies and patients.
• Monitor and manage the accounts receivable aging reports, and take necessary actions to collect outstanding balances.
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies and errors promptly.

Compliance & Regulations:

• Ensure all billing practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA.
• Stay current with changes in billing regulations and implement necessary updates to policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance in billing practices.

Reporting & Analysis:

• Generate and analyze billing and collection reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on billing performance and key metrics.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve overall revenue cycle performance.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with clinical staff, coding specialists, and other departments to ensure accurate and complete documentation for billing purposes.
• Collaborate with IT to maintain and optimize billing software systems.
• Serve as a point of contact for patients and insurance companies regarding billing inquiries and disputes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of medical billing processes, coding (CPT, ICD-10), and insurance guidelines.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
