Job Overview:

We are looking for a Billing Specialist to join our dynamic and growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the medical billing process from claim preparation and submission to payment posting, denial management, and account reconciliation. This role demands strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of U.S. healthcare billing procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and submit clean and accurate medical claims to insurance companies in a timely manner.
  • Perform eligibility and benefits verification (VOBs) for patients and document details accurately.
  • Analyze and address claim denials, rejections, and underpayments with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Post insurance and patient payments, perform adjustments, and reconcile accounts.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer policies, billing regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with insurance companies, patients, and internal departments to resolve billing-related issues.
  • Prepare and maintain reports on billing activities, payments, and outstanding claims.
  • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance billing accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable (A/R) by following up on unpaid claims and ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other federal/state regulations regarding patient data.
  • Collaborate with management to identify trends in denials or delays and propose corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of proven experience in U.S. medical billing, revenue cycle management, DME Billing or Nursing home.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding standards.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in medical billing software (e.g., Kareo, Office Ally, eClinicalWorks, etc.) and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication and the ability to interact professionally with clients, patients, and insurance representatives.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in management, or related field (preferred).
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy, organization, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team while taking ownership of assigned tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs100,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Rawalpindi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
