Responsibilities

• Review medical records to ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation for billing purposes
• Process patient and insurance payments
• Maintain and process aging reports
• Follow up on unpaid or rejected claims promptly to maximize reimbursement
• Maintain detailed records of billing activities, payments, and correspondence in EMR (Electronic Medical Record) or EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding billing inquiries and collections
• Proven experience in medical billing with a strong understanding of medical terminology and records management
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used for billing and record keeping
• Knowledge of medical collection processes and insurance claim procedures
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Effective communication skills to liaise with providers, payers, and patients effectively
