About the position

This is a full-time, remote position for a Billing Specialist to join our growing team. We are growing quickly and are hiring a billing team member to support our customers as we offer revenue cycle services here at PIMSY. This position will work claims from start to finish, including claim generation, denial and rejection management, payment posting, and reporting to customers. This role will develop relationships with a small set of assigned customers whose A/R you will be responsible to manage from within our own EHR.

We are looking for someone who is experienced in mental health billing, organized, quick to communicate, and focused on delivering an incredible customer experience. You care about finding efficient ways to work, you love researching complex claims issues... and arguing with the occasional insurance company.

You work fast, you communicate professionally with customers, but you keep your personality in the mix. Our customers love PIMSY because our team is dedicated, knowledgeable, and because they care about the work they do as they support therapists and counselors.

• 3+ years prior experience in full-cycle mental health billing
• Expertise in outpatient mental health billing (CMS-1500). Bonus if you have experience with IOP and residential (UB-04) billing
• Strong organizational skills and comfortable working in a fast-changing startup environment
• Intermediate spreadsheet skills (e.g. data manipulation and pivot tables)
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with ability to guide non-technical users through technical issues
• Bonus: Prior startup/high-growth experience

Note: Our team works across numerous states in the US. We are open to candidates from across the country, but we may give preference to candidates who are located in states we already have employees in.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
