Medical Billing Specialist - Accounts Receivable

About the Role:
We are hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist to work with our US-based client in the healthcare sector. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable cycle related to medical billing, ensuring accurate claim submissions, timely follow-ups, payment posting, and resolution of outstanding balances. This position requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with the US healthcare billing process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, process, and manage medical claims for submission to insurance companies and patients.
• Follow up on unpaid claims via phone calls, emails, and insurance portals to ensure timely collections.
• Post payments from insurance companies and patients accurately in the system.
• Investigate and resolve claim rejections and denials, including resubmissions if necessary.
• Maintain detailed records of all communications and actions taken on each account.
• Generate accounts receivable reports and provide status updates to management.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and client confidentiality policies.
• Coordinate with the client’s billing team to address queries and discrepancies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• 1–3 years of experience in medical billing, accounts receivable, or healthcare revenue cycle management (US-based process preferred).
• Proficiency in medical billing software and MS Excel.
• Strong communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
• Ability to work US business hours and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience working with US clients in the healthcare industry.
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple accounts simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs65,000.00 - Rs95,000.00 per month
