Medical Billing Team Lead

The Medical Billing Team Lead is responsible for overseeing daily billing operations, ensuring accurate and timely claim submissions, and guiding a team of billing specialists. This role combines hands-on billing expertise with leadership responsibilities to improve revenue cycle efficiency, maintain compliance, and support team performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of medical billing specialists
• Review and ensure accuracy of medical claims, coding, and billing processes
• Monitor claim submissions, denials, and reimbursements to optimize revenue cycle performance
• Resolve complex billing issues, including denied or rejected claims
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, payer guidelines, and internal policies
• Collaborate with coding, clinical, and administrative teams to streamline workflows
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports for management
• Conduct team training and performance evaluations
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred in healthcare administration or related field)
• 3–5+ years of medical billing experience
• Prior experience in a supervisory or team lead role
• Strong knowledge of medical billing systems, insurance processes, CPT/ICD coding, and EOBs
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance standards
• Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs70,000.00 - Rs120,000.00 per month
