Job Description:

Angelsys Doc LLC, a leading healthcare documentation company based in Doha, Qatar, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Documentation Coordinator to join our growing team. This role is essential for managing, organizing, and maintaining the integrity of medical records and documents in a fast-paced and evolving healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, a strong understanding of healthcare documentation standards, and the ability to ensure accurate and efficient documentation management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the documentation of medical records, ensuring that all documents are complete, accurate, and compliant with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Review and validate medical records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with healthcare policies and procedures.
  • Organize and maintain medical records in both physical and electronic formats.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and administrators, to ensure that all medical documentation is properly filed and readily accessible.
  • Handle the transfer, storage, and retrieval of patient records, following confidentiality and data protection regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).
  • Assist in the preparation of medical reports and summaries as required.
  • Monitor document workflows to ensure timely processing of medical information.
  • Train and assist staff in best practices for document management.
  • Prepare and submit necessary reports for regulatory compliance.
  • Stay current with industry trends and updates in medical documentation standards and regulations.
  • Resolve discrepancies in patient records and work with relevant departments to correct errors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Medical Records, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical documentation or a similar role in a healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and documentation standards.
  • Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical office software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with different teams.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with Qatari healthcare regulations and compliance standards is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
