Medical Front Desk Receptionist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of medical office operations. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and co-pays while ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally, providing exceptional patient service at all times.
  • Schedule appointments accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic.
  • Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicaid, ensuring proper documentation review.
  • Manage patient intake processes by uploading copies of insurance cards, parent/guardian ID, and completed registration forms.
  • Ensure all consent forms and required documentation are completed and submitted
  • Handle multi-line phone systems with courteous phone etiquette, directing calls efficiently and professionally.
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth clinic operations and patient flow.

Skills

  • Proven experience in medical office management or front desk coordination within a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic.
  • Ability to verify insurance benefits accurately, collect co-pays and deductibles
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and filing processes.
  • Bilingual abilities are desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
  • Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and multi-line phone systems.
  • Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and a friendly demeanor.
  • Previous clinic or pediatric office experience is preferred but not required; familiarity with Medicare insurance terminology is a plus. Join our team as we deliver outstanding pediatric care through efficient administrative support and compassionate patient interactions!

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
