Retina Group of Florida is looking for a Front Office Assistant Manager! The Front Office Assistant Manager is responsible for the oversight of the daily operations of their assigned front desk locations in addition to answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, collecting copays in a professional and timely manner. The Front Office Assistant Manager reports to the Regional Operations and Insurance Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supervises front office staff to ensure efficient and professional workflows and interactions
- Trains new employees on policies, protocols, and systems for the front office
- Continuous development of front office policies and procedures
- Identifies areas of improvement for front office operations
- Serves as a liaison between front office staff, physicians, and directors
- Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations
- Conduct regular performance evaluations
- Provides coaching for performance improvement
- Provides exemplary leadership skills to best support the front office staff and other departments
- Delegate tasks to appropriate team members based on skill set and staffing on a daily basis
- Address patient inquiries and complaints for team members when escalated for additional assistance
- Greets patients and guest in a friendly and professional manner
- Registers new patients
- Updates existing patient information
- Collects co-payments and outstanding balances
- Communicates and documents missed appointments and reschedules
- Produces and reviews fee tickets
- Follows scheduling protocols
- Provides referring doctor information to patients
- Communicates effectively with insurance department
- Executes established recall system
- Alerts physicians to potential coding errors
- Posts procedures, referrals, and payments in the practice management system
- Balances all batch reports at the end of the day
- Works with supervisor on patient payment plans
- Reviews daily drug posting
- Corrects posting errors
- Follows Medical Record Release policy
- Adheres to OSHA, IPAA and security protocols
- Supports RGF's Mission Statement
- Travels to RGF locations in Palm Beach and Broward County regularly based off staffing requirements
