The Medical Health Manager will be the primary custodian of the organization’s medical department. This role is responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle of employee healthcare benefits, managing relationships with healthcare providers, and ensuring seamless technical and administrative coordination of medical facilities provided by Dawat-e-Islami to its workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Benefit Management: Oversee and optimize the total medical facility/insurance package provided to employees.
- Facility Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between the organization and panel hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic centers.
- Billing & Claims: Manage the end-to-end medical billing process, ensuring accuracy in invoicing, timely settlements, and audit compliance.
- Technical Oversight: Supervise the technical aspects of medical records management and health information systems.
- Policy Development: Assist in drafting and updating medical assistance policies and SOPs for the organization.
- Patient/Employee Advocacy: Resolve employee grievances regarding medical coverage and facilitate emergency admissions or specialized treatments.
- Reporting: Maintain detailed data on medical expenditures and provide monthly analytical reports to management.
Required Education & Experience:
- MBA in Health Management or a Master’s degree in Business Administration (Finance/Operations).
- A Bachelor’s degree in Medicine (MBBS) or Pharmacy (Pharm-D) combined with an MBA is highly preferred.
- Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in a renowned hospital or a large-scale corporate medical department.
- Proven track record in Medical Billing and Healthcare Operations.
Technical & Soft Skills:
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Karachi healthcare landscape and hospital billing cycles.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze medical data to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising care quality.
- Negotiation: Strong skills in negotiating corporate rates with healthcare service providers.
- Communication: Fluent in Urdu and English; ability to coordinate effectively between technical medical staff and corporate management.
- Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Hospital Management Information Systems (HMIS).
