Medical Insurance Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Medical Insurance Coder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurate coding, claims submission, and insurance coordination to ensure timely reimbursement and compliance with UAE healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review patient records and assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
• Ensure proper documentation supports coding and billing requirements
• Handle insurance claims submission through eClaim system
• Follow up on rejected and denied claims and take corrective actions
• Coordinate with doctors and medical staff for missing or unclear documentation
• Ensure compliance with DHA regulations
• Verify insurance eligibility and coverage details
• Maintain updated knowledge of coding guidelines and insurance policies
• Prepare reports on claim status, rejections, and approvals
• Assist in audit processes and ensure accuracy of submitted claims

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in medical coding and insurance in UAE
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and medical terminology
• Experience with eClaim / insurance portals in UAE
• Familiar with denial codes and resubmission process
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Good communication skills (English required, Arabic is a plus)
