Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Malpractice Attorney to join our reputable law firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law, litigation, and extensive experience in handling complex medical malpractice cases. This role offers an opportunity to advocate for clients who have suffered due to medical negligence, ensuring justice and fair compensation. The attorney will be responsible for managing all phases of malpractice litigation, from case inception through trial and settlement negotiations, while maintaining the highest standards of legal practice.

Duties

  • Manage a caseload of medical malpractice claims, including initial client consultations, case evaluation, and strategic planning
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case development
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal briefs with precision and clarity
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
  • Prepare cases for trial by organizing evidence, deposing witnesses, and coordinating expert testimonies
  • Maintain detailed case files and ensure compliance with all legal procedures and deadlines
  • Collaborate with medical experts and other professionals to build compelling cases
  • Stay current on developments in healthcare law, regulations, and relevant statutes affecting malpractice claims
  • Provide legal advice to clients regarding their rights and options throughout the litigation process

Experience

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction
  • Proven experience in personal injury law with a focus on medical malpractice cases preferred
  • Strong knowledge of legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis
  • Demonstrated expertise in litigation, legal drafting, negotiation, and courtroom procedures
  • Familiarity with estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, and other specialized areas is a plus but not required
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear and persuasive legal documents
  • Legal administrative experience that ensures efficient case management and client communication

This position requires a proactive approach to legal advocacy combined with exceptional research and writing skills. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering justice for clients harmed by medical negligence while upholding the highest ethical standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
