Job Purpose

To provide comprehensive medical care to patients, ensure the implementation of clinical protocols, and support the delivery of high-quality healthcare services in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Key Accountabilities

Patient Care

Conduct medical examinations, diagnose illnesses, and prescribe appropriate treatments.

Manage acute and chronic conditions in outpatient and inpatient settings.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical reports.

Clinical Duties

Perform minor surgical or medical procedures as required.

Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.

Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide lifesaving interventions.

Public Health and Preventive Care

Promote disease prevention through education, vaccination, and health awareness programs.

Support public health initiatives, surveillance, and outbreak control activities.

Administrative and Supervisory Duties

Supervise nursing and support staff in daily medical operations.

Participate in clinical audits, case reviews, and quality improvement programs.

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards.

Training and Development

Conduct or participate in training sessions for medical, nursing, and allied health personnel.

Keep abreast of medical advancements and participate in continuous professional development.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: MBBS from a recognized institution.
• Registration: Valid license from PHC.
• Experience: Minimum of [2–5] years of post-qualification experience in clinical practice (depending on organization level).
