Naeem Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Officer (PGR Pediatrics) to provide high-quality medical care to newborns, infants, children, and adolescents. The ideal candidate should have strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage pediatric patients in OPD, emergency, inpatient, and neonatal settings under the supervision of senior consultants.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage pediatric patients in OPD, emergency, and inpatient departments.
• Perform detailed patient history, physical examinations, and formulate treatment plans.
• Monitor admitted pediatric patients and document daily progress notes.
• Attend neonatal deliveries and provide immediate newborn resuscitation when required.
• Manage pediatric emergencies according to hospital protocols.
• Prescribe medications and ensure safe, evidence-based treatment.
• Interpret laboratory and radiological investigations.
• Perform basic pediatric procedures such as IV cannulation, NG tube insertion, catheterization, nebulization, and lumbar puncture (where competent).
• Coordinate patient care with consultants, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate parents and caregivers regarding diagnosis, treatment, medications, nutrition, vaccination, and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and complete all clinical documentation.
• Participate in ward rounds, departmental meetings, CMEs, and academic activities.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and patient safety standards.
• Participate in rotational duties, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• MBBS from a PMDC-recognized medical institution.
• Valid PMDC registration.
• Completed House Job.
• PGR (Postgraduate Resident) in Pediatrics or enrolled in an FCPS Pediatrics training program.
• Valid BLS certification (ACLS/PALS certification will be an advantage).

Experience

• 1–2 years of clinical experience in Pediatrics is preferred.
• Fresh PGR candidates with strong clinical skills are encouraged to apply.
